The Calm & Confidence Course
One month before our due date, we decided to explore hypnobirthing. With baby possibly arriving any day, we opted for Laura’s The Calm & Confidence package. From the get go, Laura was brilliant! We learnt so much and felt empowered with the knowledge that gave us the confidence to stand strong in making decision around
our birth.
Even after we passed our ‘due date’, Laura continued to check in regularly. Meanwhile, midwife appointments became more frequent and the pressure to accept induction grew.
We chose to try all natural methods and held our ground until 42 weeks +1. That morning, I had my second reflexology session, and later that afternoon my waters broke at home. We already had a growth scan booked at the hospital, where we were advised to stay in - but instead, made the informed decision to go home, relax, eat, and boost oxytocin levels (put all of our learnings with Laura into practice!)

At home, we created a calm space with candles, scents and the TENS machine. Later that evening, we decided to head into triage. However, it was mentioned that I might need to be induced if dilation didn’t progress quickly enough.
Fast forward 10 hours, breathing my way through labour, by mid morning my contractions had ramped up and I was dilating well, and so pleased to hear at this point induction wasn’t necessary. It felt amazing to have trusted my intuition, held firm in our choices, and believed in my body. We also expressed our wish for a water birth, which probably wouldn’t have been an option with induction, though at that moment both pools were occupied.
I carried on with breathing techniques, supported by my partner’s coaching, and alternated between the ball, TENS machine, and different positions with a peanut ball.
As contractions became more intense, I was close to asking for pain relief when suddenly, amazing news: a birthing pool had become available. We were quickly moved, and while the pool filled, I continued with the TENS machine and ball until the very last minute. At 12.30pm, I entered the water, and at 1:30pm our baby boy was born. With tears of joy, we just sat together in the water, gazing at him in awe. It took a few minutes to remember to check - “It’s a boy!” we cried.
He remained attached to me by the umbilical cord, as we had chosen delayed clamping. After a little while, Daddy proudly cut the cord. I then left the pool to deliver the placenta, while our baby stayed in Daddy’s arms, completely adored. Soon after, it was time for our first feed - he latched beautifully.
I had the birth I had always wanted, yet never thought possible, thanks to the support from Laura beforehand and from my birth partner on the day, who embraced and applied everything Laura had taught us.

The Caesarean Journey
Course
Having had two previous C-sections, going into my third, I was honestly terrified. I never wanted to have a C-section, but for medical reasons, it was necessary. The fear of something going wrong - of not making it through - was overwhelming, especially because I already had two beautiful children. I couldn’t even get excited for birth because the fear took over.
I knew I needed support to manage my anxiety, so I worked online with Laura and completed The Positive Cesarean Workshop - it was honestly the biggest game-changer for me.
Living 4500 miles away in Dubai, Laura was so flexible and made every effort to work around us!
The workshop gave me practical tools and a complete mindset shift. I learned how to approach birth positively, how to stay calm, and how to feel confident even when a natural birth wasn’t possible.
I left feeling validated, reassured, and, most of all, empowered.
My husband and I, even after having two caesareans, learnt so much about the procedure and about the choices we actually had - things I didn’t know before. Laura had been a constant support throughout the remainder of my pregnancy
- always messaging, answering questions, and being the reassuring voice I needed to hear in moments of doubt.
When the day came, we went in at one o’clock, and from the moment I was wheeled down, I felt different - I was SO calm.
I was reading my affirmations and booklet beforehand, and we had relaxing music playing from my husband’s pocket throughout the procedure. I just focused on the end goal: meeting my baby.
Despite the surgery taking slightly longer due to some small complications, I stayed calm the entire time and never once felt afraid. The whole birth was smooth, quick, and - surprisingly - enjoyable. I barely remembered the anxiety that had weighed on me for weeks. I truly believe the workshop helped me get to that place, equipping me with the tools to view my birth as something beautiful rather than just surgery.
By the end, I was holding my baby, and all the fear felt miles away. I’m so grateful for the workshop and the support Laura gave us - it turned an experience I’d feared into something so special for our final baby. Despite some traumatic previous births, I’ll always remember how beautiful this one was.
Thank you, Laura, for your calm kindness and guidance before and after.

The Complete Birth Preparation Course
We both absolutely loved the course with Laura. We also did NCT and can say hands down that we learnt so much more with Laura. We both felt so confident with all of the knowledge we had learnt and couldn't wait to put it into practise. After our sessions with Laura, we had planned a natural birth with minimal pain relief.
At 37 weeks, we discovered our baby had turned breech, meaning we needed to rethink a few things. Laura was an incredible support during this time - she helped me understand all of my options, allowed me to ask further questions and shared tips to help turn baby.
When we had made the decision to go ahead with a planned caesarean, she arranged a last- minute video call to talk us through exactly what would happen during the C-section.
This made both my husband and I feel calm, informed, and prepared. Although we didn’t have the birth we originally planned, everything we learned still helped us hugely. We felt far less scared or nervous and were able to use our relaxation tools and breathing skills throughout the experience and afterwards. We couldn’t recommend Laura enough - she made our entire journey feel so much calmer and more positive.

The Caesarean Journey
Course
My husband and I took Laura’s The Caesarean Journey Course - something I didn’t even realise existed within hypnobirthing.
I was so glad to find that Laura supports all birth types and believes hypnobirthing understanding, mindset tools and techniques have a place in every journey, not just vaginal births.
Early in pregnancy, I knew a c-section was the safest option for me due to Crohn’s disease but I was carrying past hospital trauma, had anxiety about staying overnight alone, and was afraid of major surgery.
Laura’s course helped us work through those fears. She guided us through powerful exercises that allowed us to be honest with each other and prepare emotionally as a team. On the day, I meditated using Laura’s tracks (which I’d practiced daily), we stayed calm, listened to the birth playlist, and my husband supported me beautifully,
even using essential oils to help keep me grounded.
In theatre, I kept focused on the joy of meeting our baby...and within minutes he was here.
We had skin to skin, oxytocin was flowing and I was breastfeeding right away. The birth felt calm and empowered, not something out of our control. I truly believe our experience would’ve been completely different without Laura’s support.
I am SO glad we did it!

The Complete Birth Preparation Course
I found out I had a low-lying anterior placenta at my 12-week scan, and it was confirmed again at 20 weeks. I joined Laura’s full course around that time, starting with a vision of having a home birth.
The course gave me so much confidence that this was possible. Even though my midwife said it was too early to talk about a birth plan (not until around 34 weeks), I felt empowered to explore my options and keep that dream in mind.
Even with the low-lying placenta niggling in the back of my mind, Laura’s support and the course content made me feel so strong and reassured. As a first-time mum, there are so many choices and thoughts constantly whirling, but the course helped my husband and I have the right conversations and prepare together as a team.
Because of the placenta, I needed additional scans and consultant appointments. The hospital didn’t make this easy - twice my scan was booked after my consultant appointment, which was frustrating.

Eventually I was cleared: there was no medical reason for a c-section. But I had been through all the risks and had approval for a planned one if I wished. What helped me most was knowing the decision was always mine. Even when the advice from different professionals conflicted and felt unnerving, the knowledge from the course gave me the confidence to trust myself and make the right choice for me and my baby.
In the end, I chose to go ahead with my planned c-section. My little girl, however, had other ideas and I went into labour the morning before my hospital date!
Even then, I felt calm and empowered, I used the techniques from the course on the way to the hospital. After hours in labour and only 3cm, being on the verge of induction, I made the decision to continue with the caesarean I had then planned for.
Right up to the moment I was in scrubs, my decision for a c-section was questioned, but I trusted my gut and knew that my headspace was in the right place for a planned c-section.
I’m so grateful for everything I learned, because it made such a difference to how positive, calm, and empowered I felt throughout the whole journey.

The Caesarean Journey
Course
My birth story was truly such a positive and special experience.
We decided to do the course with Laura very last minute. I knew in my heart that I wanted to do hypnobirthing, but with only around six weeks to go we hadn’t organised anything.
When I came across Laura and we had a short video call, I instantly felt a connection and knew she was the right person for us. From that very first conversation, Laura made me feel completely at ease.
We were expecting a C-section as Xav had been breech throughout my entire pregnancy, and I felt anxious and underprepared because I didn’t really know what to expect or feel fully informed.
Laura’s knowledge, reassurance and calm presence completely changed that. She helped me feel mentally, emotionally and physically prepared, and gave me so much confidence going into the birth.
On the day, everything went almost exactly as Laura had explained, which made such a huge difference. I felt calm, ready and so excited to finally meet our beautiful boy.
Even after the birth, Laura continued to check in on us, and we’re still in touch now. She is such a genuinely caring and special person, and we feel incredibly lucky to have met her.

I honestly can’t recommend Laura enough.
