Welcome to Laura Stephenson trading as Born Confident ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website www.bornconfident.co.uk and our services. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to comply with these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services. 1. Services

We offer antenatal courses, postnatal support, AromaTherapy Massages and Essential Oils. All services are subject to availability and may be modified or discontinued at our discretion.

2. Bookings and Payments

  • To secure a booking, payment must be made in full or as per the agreed payment plan

  • We accept payments through Credit & Debit Cards, Apple & Google Pay and Bank Transfers

  • Any outstanding balances must be settled before the commencement of services or as per the agreed payment plan

  • Cancellations and rescheduling are subject to our cancellation policy (see Section 3)

 
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Born Confident reserves the right to amend or cancel any course, including its schedule, dates, or published prices. Any changes to course prices, times, or dates will be communicated prior to the course start date. Courses that have already been paid for in full will not be subject to price increases.

  • If Born Confident needs to cancel part of a course, a refund will be provided for the undelivered portion of the course, minus the cost of any course materials.

  • In the case of cancellation by a client, £150 is non-refundable. Further to that, the following cancellation charges will apply:

    • Days before course commences/Cancellation charge

      • 15 days or more / No further cancellation charge

      • 14 days or less / 100% of the course fee

  • In the unlikely event that the course date you have chosen is cancelled by Born Confident, you will be offered an alternative date. If you are unable to attend the alternative date, your full course fee will be refunded.

  • All recordings and written materials provided as part of this course are the sole property of Born Confident. These materials are intended for the personal use of course attendees only and may not be copied, shared, or used for any other purpose.

 
4. Client Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for providing accurate information regarding your health and well-being.

  • You must notify us of any medical conditions or concerns before using our services.

  • You agree to follow any safety guidelines provided during sessions.

5. Travel Charges

For in-person sessions held at locations more than 10 miles from my home address, a travel fee will apply. This fee is calculated at £0.45 per mile for the round-trip mileage exceeding 10 miles. For example, if the session location is 15 miles away, the chargeable mileage would be 10 miles (round-trip of 30 miles minus 20 miles), resulting in a travel fee of £4.50.

 
6. Liability and Disclaimer

  • Working with Born Confident is not a substitute for the advice or presence of a qualified medical practitioner, midwife, or obstetrician during any part of your pregnancy, labour, or birth. It does not guarantee or promise any specific or expected outcome of the labour or birth.

  • We are not liable for any injuries, allergic reactions, or adverse effects resulting from our services.

 
7. Privacy and Data Protection

  • We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Please see our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, store, and use personal information.

8. Intellectual Property

  • All content on this website, including text, images, and branding, is our intellectual property and may not be used without permission.
